1. General Principles

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute the sole agreement governing your use of the Platform and Services. By registering or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms override any prior agreements. Failure by Pyxi to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

2. Use of Third-Party Platforms

If you download or access the Mobile App through a third-party app store or platform ("Third Party"), you acknowledge that:

3. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must warrant that:

4. Description of Services

Pyxi provides a platform to connect individuals for thoughtfully curated dinners and social experiences in small group settings.

Please note:

Starting August 11, 2025, with the introduction of our +1 feature, you acknowledge and accept that you may be seated with a pair of guests who already know each other.

5. Event Logistics

Event details (e.g. location, time) are communicated in advance via the Platform. Pyxi reserves the right to change the venue or time in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Guests must attend solo unless explicitly permitted under a +1 feature. Unregistered attendees—including other Pyxi members not registered for the specific event—are not allowed.

Unless otherwise stated, the cost of food and drinks is not included in the Pyxi service fee.

6. Dietary Requirements

You are responsible for reviewing menus and speaking directly with restaurant staff regarding allergens. While we will do our best to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee:

Notify us in advance, and we will attempt to adjust your reservation—however, accommodations are not guaranteed.

7. Dinner Conduct

All guests are expected to maintain an atmosphere of respect, courtesy, and open-mindedness.

8. Cost & Payment

Dining experiences are aligned with your selected budget preference:

Bracket Expected Range (approximate)
£ Under £25
££ £25–£50
£££ Over £50

These are based on a main course and non-alcoholic beverage. Additional items (e.g. appetizers, alcohol, taxes, gratuity) are not included.

Payments & Transfers:
All payments are processed via third-party providers. Purchases are not refunded. Eligible bookings may instead be transferred in accordance with our Cancellation Policy [see below p.9], available via the support portal.

9. Attendance, Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Effective from 23 June 2026

9.1 Booking commitment

By confirming attendance at a Pyxi experience, you enter into a commitment to attend. This commitment exists to protect the experience of every other member in your pod. Pyxi reserves the right to enforce the measures set out in this section where a commitment is not honoured.

9.2 Cancellation and transfers

Members may cancel their booking without penalty up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time of the experience. Cancellations made within 72 hours, or failure to attend without cancellation, are subject to the fees set out in section 9.3.

One-off and non-member tickets are non-refundable. They may be transferred to another date up to 72 hours before the experience by contacting [email protected].

9.3 No-show fees

Where a confirmed booking is not cancelled within the 72-hour window and the attendee does not show, the following fees apply and will be charged automatically to the payment method on file:

Experience No comms to pod Communicated to pod
Dinner, Culture & £8.99 experiences (non-member) £6 + 👻 £3 + 😶‍🌫️
Dinner, Culture & £8.99 experiences (member) Fee waived + 😶‍🌫️ Fee waived
Party (non-member) £15 + 👻 £6 + 😶‍🌫️
Party (member) £10 + 😶‍🌫️ Fee waived

For the purposes of this section, "communicated to pod" means a written message sent to the pod group chat before the experience takes place.

9.4 Pod group chat

Your pod group chat opens 24 hours before each experience. If you are unable to attend after this point, you are expected to notify your pod in writing via the group chat. This does not exempt you from applicable fees but may affect the severity of any attendance record applied to your profile.

9.5 Attendance record — ghost system

Pyxi tracks attendance across all experiences. The following designations may be applied to your profile:

9.6 Suspension ladder

Pyxi operates the following escalation process for repeat non-attendance:

  1. 1 light ghost: notification issued; no further action
  2. 1st hard ghost: formal warning issued; account flagged
  3. 2nd hard ghost: final warning issued; next offence results in suspension
  4. 3rd hard ghost: account suspended indefinitely; a £10 reactivation fee is required to restore access; a permanent ghost badge 👻 is applied to your profile until you attend three consecutive experiences

9.7 Medical and emergency exemptions

Pyxi recognises that genuine emergencies occur. If you were unable to attend due to a medical emergency or comparable circumstance, you may request a fee waiver and ghost removal by emailing [email protected] within 48 hours of the event. Requests are reviewed at Pyxi's discretion.

9.8 Ghost profile visibility

Members may view the attendance record of their matched users by default. Non-members may unlock this visibility for a one-time fee of £10, which provides anonymous, personal access to ghost status for their matched users in the 24 hours before each experience. This check is not visible to other users.

9.9 Agreement

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to this attendance policy. This confirmation is logged at the time of purchase.

10. Respectful Conduct & Personal Safety

While Pyxi fosters meaningful social connections, we cannot monitor or guarantee participant behavior. By using the Services, you agree to:

In emergencies, always contact your local authorities.

11. Reporting & Feedback

12. Prohibited Activities

Pyxi investigates complaints related to misconduct. If a formal report is made, we will act based on evidence-based findings.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform (e.g., logos, graphics, software) is the property of Pyxi or its licensors. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license for non-commercial use only.

14. Privacy & Data Protection

Pyxi complies with the UK GDPR and relevant data protection laws. Please review our [Privacy Policy] for full details on how we collect and process your data.
